QUIMPER CITY OF ART AND HISTORY
Distant 23 kilometers from the campsite Kerlaz, the city of Quimper, capital of Cornwall awaits. At 15 kms from the coast, Quimper is at the end of the estuary of the Odet giving it the charm of a port. Besides its classification as a city of art and history, Quimper is honored by the label of flowery towns and villages. Its rich architectural heritage and offers lively shopping streets that adjoin the beautiful houses of the sixteenth and seventeenth century and the walls testifying to its medieval past. timbered houses are the hallmark of the city, evidence of knowledge of the builders of the Middle Ages.
